A question about pregnancy
Asking for a friend...

His girlfriend has just got pregnant and he was lined up to work abroad in a glamorous location for two months over the summer.

Is pulling out of the work trip and staying by her side for the duration of the pregnancy the right thing/only thing to do in this situation?

Or is being away for a couple of months out of nine not such a big deal?

She would prefer him to stay at home, understandably.

It all started when you converted .

As soon as you let the little things slip you have no chance with the big things.

Re: A question about pregnancy
When my Mrs was pregnant with our first and second kids, on both occasions I was offered the chance to go on all expenses paid beano on work time to Dubai and Sharm respectively. Both times it was in the run up to the due date so I didn't go on either. It's the only two times in my career I've had those opportunities.

So would he be away for the scans etc?

If 'he' is with the Girl, is a bit cuntish in my opinion.

If he's only considering going 'for the experience' and all that bucket list bollocks then tell him those days are over. He's got a child on the way now and his partner will need all the support she can get. Her hormones and emotions will be all over the place and if he's no where to be seen, it's only going to make her feel a hundred times worse. Family comes first.

If he's got the chance to get away from a pregnant woman for two months, take it and run

It's like being around a women on her period. But for 9 months. And it's actually your fault she's like it.

Stay with her or she'll be gone the moment your friend walks out the door.

MY Granddad would have left her.

Mind you, he was a drinking alcoholic at that time in his life.

He was a lot better person when he became a non-drinking one.

Hmm, 2 months in a far-flung location rammed with exotic, strangely coloured meat wallet.

or

2 months with a hormonal, needy monster with the sex drive of a neutered panda

Tough one.
